Taiwan Finance Xinwen Bao reported the iPhone 5 major components supply
providers, Largan
Precision (the camera module supplier) and TPK (touch screen provider) have
been increased to the maximum production speed. Moreover, the fiscal revenue of the
two companies this quarter will exceed expectations.
TPK said, its operating income in August is much better than expected
because of the iPhone 5, which means that TPK has a high volume of production
for the iPhone 5 touch screen. The company's Chief Financial Officer Freddie
Liu said that the revenue growth in the third quarter will create a new record,
and its gross profit will grow between 17% -18%.
Largan Precision also confirms, this quarter revenue increased by 800W pixel camera module demand rising. Rumors are that the iPhone 5’s main camera comes from Largan Precision. Previous reports that Apple's main cooperation foundry Foxconn has been in the production rate of 150,000 per day for the iPhone 5, and has hoarded the assembled iPhone 5, so that it can preinstall them to the market after Apple released iOS 5.
