The comparison Between Charger and Adapter

The charger is power supply equipment which will turn the alternating current (ac) into low voltage direct current. It is a static variable flow device which adopts the power electronic semiconductor devices to transfer the alternating current with fixed voltage and frequency into direct current.

Adapter is an interface transfer device which is generally consisted by Shell, power supply transformer and rectifier circuit. It is applicable to small portable electronic equipment and electronic appliances' power supply transformation equipment. Adapter can be independent hardware interface equipment, and also can be information interface. Commonly used adapter usually has power adapter, Adapter Converter Switcher, etc.

Conclusion: Charger is including the functions of the adapter and it has one more control circuit than the adapter. Adapter serves only has regulated effect and charger has permanently flow and pressure limiting design.
